Northern Lebanon Young Farmers 

The Northern Lebanon Young Farmers ended the 2007 year with their annual Christmas Banquet. At the banquet the members showed their gratitude by presenting Shawn Hernley his presidential plaque, after two years of service to our organization. At the banquet the 2008 officers were installed, with Troy Miller taking over as chapter president.

In January the new officers put together a calendar of events for the year. The first meeting the officers brought Jeff Graybill in as our guest speaker. Jeff presented information on the upcoming growing season. He concentrated his presentation on Nitrogen, and how much the members should apply for this year’s crops.

The organization continued to see growth in 2007, and looking forward to the 2008 year.

On April 8th, Rob Goodling, Lebanon County Dairy Educator, presented how electricity deregulation will affect producers. The meeting will be held in the Northern Lebanon High School Agricultural Science Department.
